You should read these Terms in conjunction with our Privacy Policy. Your use of the Site is deemed to be acceptance of the Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. Definitions

  • The terms “we”, “us”, “our” and “Wonder Events” refers to Wonder Events..
  • The term “Host” refers to all individuals and/or entities who register an event with this Site for the purposes of creating and managing a Movie Event on this Site.
  • The term “Attendees” refers to all individuals and/or entities who register an account with this Site for the purposes of either reserving or purchasing a ticket to a Movie Event through this Site.
  • The term “Movie Event” refers to a single event film screening (collectively referred to as “Films”) in specified venues which are organised by Hosts.
  • The term “User” refers to all individuals and/or entities accessing this Site for any reason, including both Hosts and Attendees.

2. Modification of Terms

Wonder Events reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page, and your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of such changes.

3. Description of Service

Wonder Events provides a platform to facilitate and enable Hosts to organise and sell tickets to single Movie screening event (the "Events") for films listed on the Site. We act as an intermediary between event organizers and participants.

4. Use of Site

To use this Service, you must be over the age of eighteen (18) years. By proceeding to register/promote a Movie Event, reserve or purchase a ticket or make a donation through our website, Users acknowledge that they are over eighteen (18) years of age or have the consent of a legal guardian to do so.

You may need to register an event and create an account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate and complete.

5. Prices

When you purchase through the Site, you will be shown the total purchase price prior to  payment which includes:

(a) the price of the Products;

(b) online booking fees;

(c) credit card fees; and

(d) any applicable taxes

By confirming your purchase you agree to pay the total purchase price in accordance with these Terms.

6. Event Registration and Host Obligations

Event organisers ("Host") are responsible for providing accurate and complete information about their Events. Wonder Events is not responsible for any incorrect or misleading information provided by event organizers. The following obligations apply to Hosts:

6.1 Ticketing Expectations

  • Host Sites must agree to serve as a ticketed location for an event, and all attendees must register a ticket to attend.
  • Tickets for all Events must be sold through Eventbrite, the official ticketing platform for Wonder Events.

6.2 Stripe Connect Requirements

  • Host Sites must set up Stripe Connect for all Free and Fundraising events.
  • For Fundraising events, payments to the Host will be processed within 14 days after the event.
  • For Free events, payments will be processed the next business day after the event, based on the number of registered attendees. Please ensure there are sufficient funds in your nominated account otherwise additional charges may apply.

6.2 Personnel

  • The registered Host is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Event.
  • Host Sites are required to have the following positions filled for the Event:some text
    • Host Site Coordinator: Responsible for overall event management and planning, including day-of hosting.
    • Technical Coordinator: Oversees all technical aspects of the event, including pre-event testing, audio/video, and live streaming. This person must be onsite during the Event.

6.3 Venue

  • Host must provide a venue with appropriate seating, lighting, sound, and projection environments conducive to hosting the Event.

6.4 Technical Requirements

  • Host are required to conduct at least one streaming test prior to the Event to ensure picture and sound quality are adequate.
  • A dedicated, hardwired internet connection with a recommended bandwidth of 20 Mbps down is required. Streaming over Wi-Fi is not recommended.

7. Ticket Purchases and Refund Policy

7.1 Purchase Process

  • Tickets for Movie Events must be reserved and purchased using a valid Credit Card through the official ticketing platform, Eventbrite.
  • If a Movie Event is cancelled, all registered ticketholders will receive a full refund for their ticket purchase(s). Refunds are automatically processed can take up to 5-10 days to reach the ticketholder’s bank account.

7.2 Ticket Pricing

  • Wonder Events reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to set standard ticket prices for all Movie Events on behalf of Hosts with the exception of a Fundraising event where the Host can request a price above the standard ticket price.
  • In the event of a Fundraising event, Wonder Events holds no responsibility for the management, use, or disbursement of the fundraising portion of the ticket sales once these funds have been transferred to the Host’s Stripe Connect account.
  • Prices displayed at the time of purchase are final and include all applicable fees and taxes.

7.3 Screening Cancellations

  • Wonder Events reserves the right to cancel or not proceed with a Movie Event at its sole discretion. In the event of a cancellation by Wonder Events, ticketholders will be entitled to a full refund of the ticket price less any booking fees
  • If a Movie Event is cancelled due to the Host's failure to complete the Stripe Connect requirements outlined in section 6.2, the event will be cancelled, and the Host's fee will not be refunded.
  • Refunds will also be issued in the event of a Movie Event being rescheduled after tickets have been purchased, provided the ticketholder is unable to attend the rescheduled event.

7.4 Refunds

  • No refunds will be issued if a ticketholder does not approve of the film upon its screening, changes their mind, or cannot attend due to personal circumstances.

7.5 Taxes and Fees

  • Taxes apply to the purchase of tickets and services through this Site and will be charged at the time of purchase.

8. Rules of Use

8.1 Content and Information

  • Users will not reprint, republish, or distribute any information or materials found on our Site without prior written consent from Wonder Events.
  • Users must ensure that all information provided on the Site is accurate and up to date, including but not limited to name, address, email address.
  • Users will not upload, post, or publish any content that is sexually explicit, defamatory, obscene, indecent, threatening, abusive, hateful, or otherwise inappropriate.

8.2 Intellectual Property and Privacy

  • Users will not post any content on the Site that violates the rights of others, including copyright, trademark, privacy, or any other proprietary rights.
  • Users are prohibited from attempting to reverse engineer, decompile, or derive the source code of any software used on the Site.

8.3 Site Integrity

  • Users agree not to use any device, software, or routine to interfere with or attempt to disrupt the proper functioning of the Site, any transactions on the Site, or any other person’s use of the Site.
  • Products or services obtained from the Site may not be resold for commercial or promotional purposes, bundled with other goods or services, or used for promotional purposes without the prior written consent of Wonder Events.

8.4 Event Participation

  • Users acknowledge Wonder Events' right to enforce film classification requirements as set by relevant authorities. Users must not purchase tickets to Events for which they or others in their party are not legally entitled to attend based on these classifications.

8.5 Event Details

  • Event details, including but not limited to venue capacity, ticket pricing, and the number of available tickets, are based on the information provided in the event registration form. Wonder Events permits limited changes to these details prior to any ticket registrations/purchases, which can be made through the Host Dashboard.
  • Any additional costs for special requirements at Events, such as additional audiovisual equipment, microphones, chairs, tables, projection of on-screen materials, food and beverage options, and similar items, will be the responsibility of the User.

8.6 Payments

  • All payments to Hosts and funds raised through Events shall be processed and paid out within 14 days of the Event. Wonder Events is not responsible for any issues that arise after the funds have been transferred to the Host’s Stripe Connect account.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the Wonder Events website, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is the property of Wonder Events or its content suppliers and is protected by intellectual property laws. Host are prohibited from recording, reproducing, or distributing any Event content without express written consent.

10. Privacy

Our compliance with privacy legislation is set out in our separate Privacy Policy [https://www.wonderevents.life/privacy-policy] , which may be accessed from our home page.

By using this Site, Users acknowledge and agree that Internet transmissions are never completely private or secure. Users understand that any message or information Users send to the Site may be read or intercepted by others.

11. Limitation of Liability

Wonder Events is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the Service. Our total liability for any claims arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the Service.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Wonder Events, its affiliates, and their respective directors, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your use of the Service.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Queensland, Australia, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
